About us
Our accommodation is located in the heart of Kőröshegy, in the immediate vicinity of many of the area's attractions.With 110 years of history, the farmhouse that is the basis of the Tornácos Guest House was built in 1915, when the chestnut tree in the courtyard was planted.
The furnishings, the rooms all have a special atmosphere. There are 2 rooms and 2 apartments, which open from the porch of the guest house.
The Olive Room embodies classic elegance, while the Sailboat Room evokes the atmosphere of Lake Balaton. The Hunter Apartment pays homage to the memory of Count Zsigmond Széchenyi, who once lived in Kőröshegy. The tiled stove, Attila Fekete's wood carvings and the trophies decorating the walls are all eloquent ornaments of the apartment. The Lavender Apartment, located upstairs, is the most romantic room in the guest house, emphasising sophistication and the beauty of nature.
Step outside and you'll find the vine-covered philagoria, a coffee lounge under a cherry tree.
From the courtyard there is a comfortably furnished wine cellar, perfect for drinking wine and chatting.
In the back garden of the house, in a quiet environment, there is an outdoor swimming pool, a jacuzzi and a Finnish sauna, which ensure complete relaxation for our guests. In the garden there are lounge chairs and loungers for our guests.
We would like to inform our guests that the pool and jacuzzi will be closed between October 20 and March 31.
Closed parking is available for guests arriving by car.
Rooms
The house was renovated in 2024. Our rooms all open onto the porch of the House, which has been designed to ensure that each guest finds the room that suits them best. The rooms are spacious, with different themes and furnishings, and have bathrooms with shower or bath. All rooms are equipped with new air-conditioning, heating and cooling, and high quality internet access.
Our rooms are non-smoking.
The guest house can only be booked as a whole.

The room rate includes accommodation in the room type of your choice and unlimited internet access. We cannot provide meals in our accommodation.
Things to see
- The proximity of Lake Balaton and Balatonföldvár, as well as the Széchenyi Castle in Kőröshegy and the associated fish pond, the surrounding vineyards offer a lot of activities.
- The Turtle Park and the Kőröshegy Lavender are a real curiosity for nature lovers.
- In the neighbouring Kereki you can visit the Kereki Dino Park, the Balaton Bird Garden and the Fehérkő Castle.
- The beach of Balatonföldvár can be reached by car in about 10 minutes, where visitors can experience the real Balaton bathing experience. The Kőröshegyi Valley Bridge is a great attraction in the area, just a 25-minute walk away. In addition, the Historic Ship Visitor Centre and Lookout is about 3 km from our Guest House.
